What roof plumbing covers
Roof plumbing is everything that keeps rain off and away from your building: the roof sheeting, the flashings that seal its edges and joins, the gutters and downpipes that collect the water, and the pipes that carry it to the stormwater drain or a tank.
In Victoria, most of this work, from repairs and replacement to new installs, is roofing (stormwater) work. It has to be done by a plumber licensed or registered in that class. Flow Now Plumbing is run by Cristian Fernandez, who holds licence 125484 covering plumbing, gas fitting and roofing (stormwater). That means one licensed person can sort out the gutter, the downpipe and the drain it runs into, without you having to line up several trades.

Roof plumbing services
Homeowners
From a single leaking joint to a full set of new gutters, you get a straight answer about whether a repair will do or replacement makes more sense.
Who we do roof plumbing for
Builders and renovators
We handle gutters, downpipes, flashings and stormwater connections on new builds and extensions, including the tricky spot where a new roof meets the old one. Because the same licence covers plumbing and gas, there's one fewer trade to coordinate on site. A compliance certificate is issued whenever the work requires one, and licence and insurance details are available on request.

Inspection. Cristian looks at the roof, gutters and drainage to find where the water is actually getting in or backing up, not just where it shows.
-
Clear quote. A call-out fee applies for the visit. You then get a clear, written quote that explains what needs doing and why, with options where a repair and a replacement are both reasonable. No work starts until you've approved it.
-
The work. The job is done to the Victorian plumbing standards, and the site is left tidy.
-
Paperwork. For work valued over $750 (labour and materials included), you get a compliance certificate within five days, as Victorian law requires.
Roof plumbing FAQs
Do I need a licensed roof plumber in Victoria?
For most roof plumbing, yes. Installing, replacing or repairing metal roofing, flashings, gutters, downpipes and the connection to a stormwater drain or tank is roofing (stormwater) work, which must be done by someone licensed or registered in that class. Cleaning and painting gutters aren't included. You can check any plumber's licence on the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) website. Flow Now's licence number is 125484.
Will I get a compliance certificate?
If the total value of the plumbing work is over $750, including labour and materials, the licensed plumber must give you a compliance certificate within five days of finishing and lodge it with the BPC. Keep it. It's your record that the work meets the plumbing standards, and it's backed by the plumber's required insurance.
Do you cover my suburb?
We're based in Dandenong and do a lot of work across the south-east, including Noble Park, Keysborough, Springvale, Clayton, Narre Warren, Berwick and Frankston. We also cover the rest of Melbourne, from the bayside and inner suburbs to the east, north and west. Call to check timing for your area.
How much does roof plumbing cost?
It depends on the job. The main factors are how much needs replacing, the height and pitch of the roof, how easy access is, whether scaffolding or edge protection is needed, the materials chosen, and whether anything hidden, such as rotten fascia, turns up once work starts. A call-out fee applies, and you'll get a clear quote before any work starts.
Can you come out for a roof leak during a storm?
Yes. We're available 24/7, with a 60-minute response for emergencies. In heavy rain or wind it isn't always safe to do a full repair, so Cristian does emergency make-safe work first, such as tarping the leaking area, and comes back for the permanent repair when conditions allow.
